The process

Water cremation, explained

Creating a greener future while keeping costs down for families — the gentlest end-of-life process available today.

What is it?

A revolutionary, gentle alternative

We proudly offer water cremation — an environmentally friendly alternative to traditional fire cremation and burial. As Australia's leading and only provider with a built-in filtration system, we combine advanced technology with compassionate care to deliver a service that is both ethical and sustainable.

This innovative process was recognised as a 2015 Finalist in the prestigious Australian Technology Competition for its groundbreaking contribution to green funeral practices.

Fire cremation generates approximately 400 kilograms of carbon emissions per cremation — as much CO₂ as driving from Melbourne to Perth — and contributes around 40 million kilograms of carbon emissions annually in Australia.

Water cremation is a low-emission solution that operates at significantly lower temperatures, producing less than 10% of those carbon emissions. Compared to burial, it is a far more sustainable choice.

Our machine. Designed and built right here in North Queensland — not imported from overseas. We are the only provider in Australia with a filtration system built directly onto the equipment, and we are glad to show it. Families and funeral directors are welcome to visit and see exactly where their loved one will be cared for.
