Your questions, answered
Is this an acid bath?+
No. We add "Lye" — the same product used to make soap — meaning the process itself is not acidic or acid based.
Am I submerged under water?+
When the process begins, water is added equivalent to about a quarter of a standard bathtub, so you are not underwater.
How is this better than burial or cremation?+
It is the most environmentally friendly and natural method of handling the end-of-life process, while also being the most affordable option for families to date. Using natural elements like solar and rainwater means there's no need for gas or diesel fuels — it could be completely self-sustainable.
Are there gases emitted during the process?+
We eliminate air emissions entirely, avoiding methane gas. It is completely pollution-free, with no toxic emissions or contribution to greenhouse gases.
Do I get all the remains back afterwards?+
Before a cycle can begin, the main chamber must be completely empty — so there is no way for your loved one's remains to be mixed with anyone else's. On completion you receive an urn, just as with cremation. We don't call them ashes, because our process never uses fire.
